About Jeremy

Along with most students, I've had my fair share of frustrating tests, challenging practice problems, and teachers that seem to be too harsh or unfair. But I've learned that an attitude of perseverance can get you through any of these challenges. That is how I have eventually learned to succeed in the classroom, learn to play guitar, and enjoy playing sports that I once thought were too difficult. I want to share this with other people. I feel lucky to not be intimidated by a complicated chemistry problem or hefty assignment and I can't wait to help others feel the same way!

About the lesson

I see tutoring as a two part endeavor. First, lessons can be paired alongside classroom learning to help understand content and build a strong foundation on a unit-by-unit basis. Its most important to feel strong at the beginning of a new chapter. That way, subsequent content is better learned back in school. Second, tutors can make test and quiz review more efficient and effective. Discussing practice problems and content explanations with another person, besides school teachers, can really make things click. Simply talking out loud can cause that 'aha' moment and clear up lots of confusion. I feel these two approaches can make learning easier for anyone.
