About Robert
I am a recent graduate with an MA in Political Science and will be starting a PhD in Communication. I have worked at the University of Ottawa's Academic Writing Help Centre where I gained much experience helping students to learn academic writing skills, especially for ESL and international students whose native language is other than English. I also have a growing experience tutoring conversational English skills and written/oral comprehension. I have a strong working ability in French and have a lot of experience in switching between French and English in order to translate and improve comprehension.

I like taking a flexible approach to teaching that tailors to the individual needs of each student. By gauging each student's level of comprehension and discussing their particular needs, I am able to develop a plan for continual improvement that incorporates different lessons, exercises, and learning methodologies (e.g. conversational lessons, text-based learning, audio and visual learning, etc.).
