About Rachel
Since I was first forced to help my younger brother with his homework, I've really enjoyed making students feel confident in, and proud of, their academic work. I've helped students in China and London, and it's always fun meeting a new student and learning about their unique interests.
I attended Latymer Upper School in Hammersmith, and joined Pembroke College, Oxford, in 2020. It's been a weird first year, but I love my subject and that's carried me through the seemingly endless lockdowns.
I geek out over anything philosophy related, and try to keep up my Latin whenever I have time.

I have over two years of formal and informal tutoring experience, in which I have guided students through essay competitions, Oxbridge interviews, personal statement writing, and GCSE English and Latin.
I received A*s in my English, Latin and Philosophy A Levels, all A*s/9s in my GCSEs (including triple science), and was awarded a scholarship for my performance in my first year examinations at Oxford. I am currently in my second year at Oxford, reading Philosophy and Theology.
I am able to provide - at A Level, GCSE, or pre-GCSE level - general essay writing tutoring and tutoring for any of my A Level subjects. I am also able to guide students through 11+ preparation, or through the university application process (including personal statement and interview preparation).
I can deliver lessons over zoom or in person in West London, and will work with the student/parents to create a personal teaching program before commencing tutoring.
