About Gul
I'm an Australian citizen with roots in Asia. I grew up in Hong Kong and studied English language and Literature from the University of Hong Kong before pursuing a Master's degree from King's College London. I am a qualified teacher with full accreditation to teach in NSW. I have taught students of all levels from primary up to university level. In Australia, I worked at the University of Sydney, where I taught English for almost 10 years. I have also worked with students in Hong Kong (High school and tertiary) as well as Singapore (Kaplan).

I take an interactive, student-centred approach to tutoring, using a mix of traditional strategies and online tools to engage learners and build confidence in their English skills.
Lessons typically run for 1 hour and are designed to be dynamic and engaging, with a strong focus on practical use of language in real-world or academic contexts. I incorporate digital tools, authentic materials, and interactive activities to keep lessons relevant and effective.
I hold a Master’s degree from King’s College London and have over a decade of teaching experience across Hong Kong, Singapore, London, and Sydney, working with learners of all ages and language backgrounds.
My lessons are suitable for students of all levels, from young learners and school-aged students to university students and adult learners looking to improve their English for academic, professional, or everyday use. Come and join me!
