About Jake
I am a professional performing bassoonist and contrabassoonist. I’ve held positions with the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra, the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, and others. I’ve taught many places but am currently teaching at the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities. I received my bachelor's and my master's degrees from the Eastman School of Music.

I teach students of all ages and all levels. Lessons will be tailored to the individual student. Lessons can include music literacy as well as reed making!At the end of the day all I want to see is positive growth in my students and the reassurance that they are enjoying their time playing the bassoon.
