About Lory

Hey everyone! My name is Lory Luo, 落宇轩. I am a fluent bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese. I live in a wonderful city, Bristol, United Kingdom.

大家好，我叫落宇轩。我会讲流利的英文和普通话。我在中国长大，现在住在英国美丽又奇葩的布里斯托市。

I graduated from the University of Bristol (World #28 in 2012) with one BSc degree and two MSc degrees in Sociology and Psychology. (I have written SO many academic essays over the years - I can definitely help you on that ;D)

我从布里斯托大学（2012年全球排名28）毕业。我用了五年的时间写了差不多一百篇的学术论文，于是终于获得了三个学位：社会学本科+硕士+心理学硕士 - 所以我一定可以帮助你的写作！

I was trained to be an English as a Foreign Language teacher in International House Bristol and was awarded the Cambridge CELTA certificate. Through this course I discovered that I LOVE teaching!

我有剑桥大学颁发的CELTA教师资格证书，它是对外英语教学行业很具权威的证书之一。

Since 2013, I have been teaching both children and adults in various subjects including English as a foreign language, English literature, Mandarin Chinese, Maths, physics and triple sciences. I have taught students from all over the world including many British and Chinese children and European adult learners.

从2013年开始我一直有在教学。我教过英语，中文，数学，物理，科学等科目。我的学生大部分来自英国和欧洲，也有中国籍的成人和孩子。

I have an A-level in Business Studies and Economics and have worked for various types of organisations. This gives me a good insight into business related English language, which is especially beneficial to adult students.
In 2012, I took the IELTS exam and achieved a score of 8.0.

我十八岁时学习了两年的英国的A水准商务课程。我也有在不同公司组织工作的经验。这让我积累了和商务英语有关的知识，对我的成年学生们会尤其有益。2012年，我参加了雅思考试并取得了8.0的成绩。我非常清楚备考英语考试是什么感觉，我也有一套很管用的策略方法来帮助我的学生们。

I learnt English as a second language growing up in China. Then I moved to England and spent all my adult years here. Now my English is indistinguishable from that of a native speaker. I have a rather standard, RP British accent with a hint of American or Australian here and there (so I’ve been told). Some people have even said that I sound a bit ‘posh’ :P

我有在中国学英语的经验，所以我学过语法与音标。但是我的英语口音是纯正英音，和英国土生土长的人的口音几乎没有区别（甚至比很多人还要标准，因为这里很多人说话带的方言口音和俚语很重！）这么多年来，英语基本上算是我的母语啦！你听我说一下话就知道啦

About the lesson

My teaching style is to encourage students to practise using their language as much as possible through various activities. I am very energetic and motivating and I am very good at making students feel comfortable and getting them to speak and practise with confidence. I am determined to help my students achieve their best potential in not only exam English but also spoken, everyday and functional English.

我的教学理念是，学语言最重要的是多说多用，以学生为中心，老师作为辅助指导的模式来最大化的调动学生的技巧与能力。我的课呢，会包含很多练习与能力培养，不只是为了考试考过，也是为了让你真的能学会“说”英语。

I am happy to teach English from elementary level up to degree level including exam preparation and business English for all ages. I am able to teach in both English and Mandarin Chinese to suit each student’s needs.

我很乐意提供各种形式的，针对各种年龄的英语课程。从小学到成人英语，从基础入门级到进阶高级英语，从日常用语到商务英语以及应试备考。根据你的情况及喜好，我们也可以用英文授课。
