About Kaitlin
I have been tutoring at my university for a full academic year. I have taught two students so far, one in Chemistry (1 and 2) and Mathematics (Pre-calculus and Algebra). In teaching these subjects, both the students came out knowing and retaining information, and even received A's in their respective classes, and felt overall more confident.

Hi, I'm Kait! I'm a Fitchburg State University Student, with an Earth Systems Science major. I have experience tutoring Algebra 1 and 2, Pre-calculus, Chemistry, Geology, Meteorology, and Writing as well as SAT Prep for High School students. Throughout my tutoring experience, I have found that no two students are the same. My approach is an absolute individualized one. I usually will go through the material before I start tutoring, and make a "study guide" for students that they are allowed to keep/ study from, so that when I am not there with them , it will be easier to remember the information taught from sessions. I will then teach two or three different ways to do a problem , and have them pick the way that makes the most sense to them. I have found that this method works very well for every age. I usually will make jokes about topics to make them more fun to learn about. I also come up with clever ways to remember certain information, so that students aren't spitting out information back on tests, rather, they are actually learning and retaining the information. I am also willing to commute to wherever you are. I'm here to help!
