About Issy

I teach English literature because it allows me to share my passion for language, storytelling, and critical thinking with others. Studying English at Edinburgh University has deepened my love for literature, and I’m excited to inspire that same enthusiasm in my students. I enjoy working closely with others, helping them unlock the layers of meaning in texts, and guiding them to express their own insights with confidence. For me, teaching is not just about analyzing books; it’s about connecting with students, understanding their unique perspectives, and supporting their journey to success, both academically and personally.

About the lesson

As an English student at Edinburgh University, I bring both academic expertise and a passion for the subject to my tutoring sessions. My lessons stand out because I focus not just on helping students achieve high marks but also on making the learning process enjoyable and engaging. I tailor each lesson to the individual needs and interests of my students, using creative methods and relatable materials that go beyond textbooks. This approach ensures that students not only understand the content but also develop a genuine appreciation for English, making learning a rewarding and enjoyable experience.
