About Kat
I bring both strong academic training and a down-to-earth teaching style. With an English degree from UCLA and current graduate studies at Harvard, I know what it takes to succeed in challenging programs and how to break material down in a way that makes sense. I also bring a bit of wit to my lessons because learning is easier when you can laugh along the way. I've worked with students of different levels and learning styles, and I pride myself on being patient, adaptable, and encouraging. My goal is to create a space where students feel supported, motivated, and confident in their abilities.

I’m here to make reading, writing, and studying feel less intimidating and perhaps even enjoyable. I earned my English degree at UCLA and am now pursuing my master’s at Harvard, with additional studies in Creative Writing and History. My lessons are relaxed, flexible, and tailored to your needs, whether that’s literary analysis, reading comprehension, essay writing, editing, test prep, or simply finding new ways to spark ideas.
