About Savanna

I have tried many sports, but soon saw volleyball was the one for me. I played in school and in clubs, and I led as the setter on all of my teams. I have always been diligent and a leader, and this allowed me to always be the best. In my senior year of high school, I had the offer to play at the University of Vermont, yet turned it down, as it was too far from my family. I decided that Northern Arizona University was the place for me, and I was right. I maintain a 4.0 GPA, and love being involved with my campus, where I try to play recreational volleyball at least once a week

My teaching methods are of course hands-on, and I believe practice makes perfect. I believe repetition allows for good muscle memory and greatly improves a player's performance. I also believe in truly looking at the skill side of volleyball, especially footwork. My typical lesson plan would be based off of the individual students needs and desires. I am a well rounded player, as I have played all positions minus libero, and can help a student improve in which ever position they want.
