I want the student(s) &/or parents to verbally converse their needs, challenges, strengths, & what they seek to gain from the tutoring experience. Secondly, I prepare lessons accordingly (grade level). Also, I prepare curricumum assessments to learn the students strengths & weaknesses. I prefer to teach using materials from students school workbooks, activity books, & up-to-date publications.
