About Sierra
I am a 19-year-old high school graduate with a passion for education. Currently, I am pursuing a furtherance of knowledge on theology and religious history before I pursue higher education for an English degree. During this time I work in a charter school as an educational assistant and occasional substitute for both a 5th grade and 6th grade class. My goal is to teach middle school English one day. As I strive for this goal, I enjoy gaining as much experience as I can through means of teaching and tutoring in environments outside of my workplace.

As someone who has a passion for English and Language Arts, that will be the primary focus. Lessons will be student-led, based on their needs. As a student myself, the worst thing you can do is learn something you already know. I would begin with the basics to gain an initial understanding of the student’s skill level, and go from there. English tutoring includes poetry, grammar, reading and writing as well as sentence structure and paper structure. It may also include book reading, learning how to read a book and glean information and various other topics.
