About Alex

Hello there! I'm Alexander Espinoza, but you can call me Alex. I see music as a versatile tool for expressing anything and everything. Through my experiences with various music teachers, I've learned something unique from each one. Now, it's my turn to pass on that musical wisdom to those who share a passion for it. My goal is to help you feel comfortable and confident with any type of melody, harmony, and rhythm you encounter.

In my lessons, I take a close look at particular musical pieces preferred to help you grasp them better. I will provide a background, a music theory analysis, and technique of the chosen piece. I believe that every piano student should know how to improvise a set of chords in every key. There will be warm ups and cool downs of different scales and chords. The homework provided should not be forced; many people lose interest when there are forced deadlines. When the student is at a more advanced level, I will be teaching them more complex music theory patterns and progressions.
