About Esther

Hi! I’m a passionate ceramics artist and final-year Ceramics student with hands-on experience creating functional and decorative ceramic pieces.

I love working with clay because it gives you the freedom to experiment, create, and express yourself with your hands. I’m particularly interested in hand-building, sculpting, surface decoration, creative forms and exploring different ways of transforming clay into unique pieces.

I teach beginners, children, teenagers and adults who want to discover ceramics as a hobby, develop their artistic skills, or simply learn how to work confidently with clay.

My classes are relaxed, practical and beginner-friendly. You don’t need to be an experienced artist to start — I’ll guide you step by step and at your own pace.

Whether you want to make your first clay piece, improve your hand-building skills, understand ceramic processes, or develop your creativity, I’d love to help you get started! 🤎

About the lesson

My lessons are designed to make ceramics easy to understand and enjoyable to learn.

Online classes come first, where I introduce students to the fundamentals of ceramics, tools, materials, techniques, design ideas and the ceramic process. I can also demonstrate techniques and guide you through projects that can be practised at home using simple, accessible materials.

When practical classes become available, students can progress to face-to-face sessions, where we can work more directly with clay and practise techniques together.

Depending on your level and interests, lessons may cover:

• Introduction to ceramics and pottery
• Clay preparation and basic tools
• Pinch-pot techniques
• Coil building
• Slab building
• Hand-building techniques
• Basic sculpting
• Surface decoration and texture
• Creating functional ceramic objects
• Decorative and artistic ceramics
• Developing your own ceramic ideas
• Understanding drying, firing and glazing
• Ceramic project development

I focus on learning by doing, while also helping students understand why each technique works. My goal is not just to teach you how to copy a piece, but to help you develop your own creativity and confidence.

Esther is a very close friend of mine. We both are attending the same university. She has a very good way of communicating and teaching things, even making the most difficult things seem easy. I recommend Esther because I know she's definitely the best for a position like this, with her teaching technique, her calmness, and her ability to adapt.
