About Lucy

Hello! My name is Lucy Akaba. I have been teaching for 7 years and currently am teaching Kindergarten. As both a teacher and a mom, I understand how important it is for children to feel confident, supported, and excited about learning. I specialize in early reading, writing, phonics, and foundational math skills. I believe every child learns differently, so I strive to make each lesson fun, engaging, and tailored to individual needs. My goal is to build confidence, celebrate progress, and help your child develop a love for learning!

English

As a California credentialed teacher with experience in early elementary education, I believe learning should be engaging, encouraging, and tailored to each child's unique needs. My teaching approach includes interactive lessons and positive reinforcement to build confidence and a strong academic foundation. I focus on meeting students where they are, making learning fun, and helping every child feel successful. My goal is not only to improve academic skills, but also to foster a genuine love for learning!
