About Kristyanna
I have loved reading since an early age and was obsessed with books. Since I didn't own many books as a child, I read them many times over. When I was ten years old, my mom purchased the entire Franklin Mint classic book series from the door-to-door salesman. There were so many, and they were beautiful!
Out of desperation and curiosity, I began reading books like A Tale of Two Cities and David Copperfield. Unfortunately, these books were above my reading level; fortunately, I chose to read them anyway.
Reading was an enormous gift to me as a child and still is. Nothing is impossible in the mind of an avid reader.
For the last ten years, I have been writing as a professional. I ghost write, create curriculum, do technical writing and have been published online and in print.
Many trends will come and go, but reading and writing will always be "trending."
I have taught private middle and high school, as well as community college. I adore teaching. I am patient and determined. I am also the parent of a (grown) child with ADHD and other learning/emotional challenges so I have the skillset to work with students who have similar needs.
I don't just care about the students I teach, I also care about their families. Parenting is very hard work. Everyone says that it takes a village to raise a child, but where's the village when we need them?

I started teaching when my children were in private school, teaching history and art to middle and high school students.
I have a bachelor's in Sociology and Psychology and a master's in counseling. While not a certified teacher, I have taught on the middle school, high school, and college level. I also trained leaders for eight years. I am published online and in print.
