About Meghan

My name is Meghan and I'm a recent graduate of Barnard College of Columbia University. Throughout college, I successfully completed a robust series of social sciences and humanities courses. For the majority of my time in college, I was on the Dean's List. Currently, I am working as a Paralegal and preparing for to apply to law school. I am also passionate about helping other young people academically and professionally succeed.

In the past, I have volunteered as a tutor through local non-profit organizations. I am a patient and calm mentor, and I am passionate about writing and reading.

I love working with people and helping students achieve their goals!

I got started as a tutor when I volunteered in high school through the National Honor Society and Key Club

I just graduated with a B.A. in sociology from Barnard College of Columbia University in May.

About the lesson

Communication with a new student is absolutely essential for successful tutoring. I want to learn about a student's strengths and weaknesses in the classroom, and gain an understanding of their goals.

I have mostly worked with elementary and middle school students, through I also tutored some high school students.
