About Jerald

Personalized tutoring from a young, energetic, and engaging tutor.

I have had a lifelong passion for math. When I was young, my uncle (who was a math teacher) would come over and teach me concepts and give me problems. Math homework was never a chore.

I have a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Maryland - College Park where I regularly used calculus and statistics to solve problem sets.

I believe learning is fun, and although math can be difficult, I strive to make it less onerous.

My first classroom experience was as an assistant teacher in religious school.  I also spent two months abroad teaching English with Learning Enterprises-Croatia.  In this capacity I lesson planned and managed a classroom with as many as 30 students.

Bachelor of Science in Economics:

  - Regularly used calculus, statistics, and other econometric methods

  - I understand how math relates to the real world and not just theoretical uses of math

Volunteer Teacher - Learning Enterprises Croatia

  - Taught English as a Foreign Language Classes to students aged 6-14

  - Specialized lessons for the needs of each student
