About Michael

Hi, my name is Michael Escobedo, and I've been tutoring high school students in Math for the past four years now. I first started at Morris Community High School, helping students in the library as an NHS tutor. I am currently a freshman at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign majoring in Statistics. My main goal is to help students break down complex concepts in a way that will help them find solutions to problems more efficiently.

I really enjoy seeing students overcome their academic obstacles. When students are able to accomplish their goals, I get to see some real personal development within them that I find inspiring.

I will normally set up a facetime or phone call, where I can first get to know the student and see what he or she is struggling with. i want to establish a personal connection with student and really get to the root of the issue at hand. Once I figure out what the students need help with, we will go over study materials or any homework that needs to be done. Then, at the end of the session, I will create review problems, and the student will try them out.
