The most important thing in singing is the story and thus the text. I believe that even if an audience doesn’t understand the language, they are able to tell whether the language sounds authentic and correct. By setting a certain text, the composer allowed for the natural flow of the language. It is equally as important to slightly adapt the sound of the language from speaking to singing, which is why I always work with speaking the text first but then singing it and trying to find the best way for the individual student to sound more natural.

Lars is an outstanding teacher. He masters the art of singing but more importantly he has got excellent communication and teaching skills as well as being an empathic and extremely kind individual.
Having had the privilege of working with Lars over several years - I can confidently say that he is the most patient, attentive and encouraging person I've come across. There are many who will tell you what to do, but very few who will truly help you discover, understand and craft your ideas, and Lars does just that.
