About Simon

Hello! I’m Simon, an enthusiastic tutor specialising in International Relations, Politics, and Academic Writing. I bring a deep passion for understanding global affairs and a strong academic background to every lesson I teach. I earned my PhD in International Relations at the University of St Andrews and have dedicated over 5 years to both academic research and teaching. My experience ranges from working with high school students to mentoring university scholars, allowing me to adapt my approach to suit diverse learning needs and academic levels. My teaching style is interactive and student-centred—I believe in making complex theories accessible and relevant. Whether it’s unpacking the intricacies of global governance, analysing current international conflicts, or delving into policy analysis and comparative politics, I strive to connect theoretical concepts with real-world events. By incorporating up-to-date case studies and encouraging critical discussion, I help students not only understand the subject matter but also think independently and critically about the world around them. I am committed to creating an engaging and supportive learning environment that empowers my students to excel in their studies and beyond. If you’re preparing for exams, working on research projects, or simply eager to deepen your understanding of international politics, I’m here to guide you every step of the way. Let’s embark on this intellectual journey together and unlock your full potential in understanding the dynamic field of politics and international relations!
