Many people think that boxing is only about punching bags and punching other boxers. However, many don't realize the full-body workout boxing is.
Drawing the perfect punch takes a lot of effort, skill, and energy. To become a good boxer you need to work on your cardio and build up your stamina so that you don't faint in the middle of the ring because your heart isn't used to pumping blood that fast.
To be a good boxer you also need strong arms, core, back, and legs. You use all the muscles of your body as you are boxing, which is why you need to pay attention to every muscle while you train.
To become stronger you can work at the gym, from home, or with the help of a coach. A coach can teach you the exercises that will help you build stronger muscles faster.
If you learn how to box you'll first notice how you start to feel stronger and better. You'll be able to do more things like carrying more grocery bags at once or making your bed without back pain. You'll also have more energy which means not ending the day feeling exhausted to cook a meal or work out.
As you start to notice these changes, you'll also notice some changes in your body. You'll have stronger muscles, you'll probably fit better in your clothes, and you'll look stronger too.
The purpose of any boxing coach is the same as any other sports coach. Their mission is to help their trainees improve their skills in any given sport —in this case, boxing. Coaches are responsible for coming up with training routines that will benefit each of their trainees individually.
For instance, let's say they have a tall trainee with great cardio but very weak muscles. A coach will design a training routine specialized for someone that has good cardio but needs to build muscles.
That routine will be completely different compared to someone that has no resistance or muscles. It's the coach's job to personalize each routine and cater to everyone's different needs.
A coach also learns about their trainee's strengths and weaknesses and helps them overcome obstacles and strengthen their abilities. They will learn how to help each person individually instead of having 20 people follow the same routine and regime.
Many people argue that coaches aren't necessary because there are a lot of online platforms that have enough resources for people to learn things on their own. However, this is not entirely true.
People need the help of a coach for various reasons. First, a coach will push you to get up and start training. They'll arrive at your house and you won't be able to put an excuse.
When we don't train with a coach it is easy to skip training or come up with excuses as to why we won't go to the gym today. It is very common for people to pay for month, semester, and even year memberships and only end up using 10% of what they paid for.
Finally, coaches will tell you when you are doing things wrong or moving in a way that could harm you. If you work with a coach you have a guarantee that you won't end up hurting yourself.
On the other hand, if you train without a coach you won't know if you are doing the correct movements or if you are avoiding a possible injury. You'll think you're doing things right, but sometimes our bodies make unconscious movements or positions. A coach can help us correct these mistakes to ensure proper training.
