About Shayla
Hi there! I’m a passionate music educator who believes learning music should be fun, exciting, and full of those wonderful “AHA!” moments!
I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education in 2005 and my Master’s Degree in Music Education in 2013, both from Shenandoah University. I’m also a certified Pre-K–12 music educator with 21 years of teaching experience!
Throughout my career, I’ve helped countless students discover that music is more than just notes on a page. It’s about creativity, confidence, critical thinking, and having FUN while learning!
Whether you’re trying to figure out those tricky rhythms, master music theory, or finally understand what all those musical symbols mean, I’ve got you covered!
My teaching philosophy? Learning should never be boring! I bring patience, creativity, humor, and a whole lot of enthusiasm to every lesson.
Now I’m bringing my love of music education straight to YOU through online tutoring!
Let’s make learning music something to smile about, one note at a time!
