About Donna

I am an international university student in Vancouver. I have been learning the guitar since I was 8 and while I have stopped lessons, I continue to be self taught. I have been in choirs and vocal lessons for years as well and am very proficient in that area. I took piano lessons as a child and have retained basic knowledge of piano playing as well as proficient music theory skills from that as well as from taking IB higher level music in high school. In regards to music theory I am happy to teach everything from the basics to helping figuring out softwares such as musecore, and learning skills to help with transcribing and transposing a piece of music.

I can help you improve your musical ear with exercises, as well as assist in composition and songwriting skills in general if that's something you are interested in!

About the lesson

I can offer online and in person (UBC Vancouver campus).

Music has always been a passion for me, and there is nothing I would love more than to share that passion and help others learn, improve, and develop their musical skills.

I am happy to teach any age group, as well as offering lessons for individuals or groups up to 3 (could be discussed based on circumstances).

It's never too early or late to start learning whether you've been thinking of learning for 5 minutes, trying to start for years, or started learning and have been on a break for a while!

I tailor my lessons to each student and their needs, and my goal is to provide a strong foundation and basic understanding for students to continue to grow and learn on their own if they so please.
