About Elia
Reading tabs and sheet music provides the architecture for my lessons. Most people think more notes mean better playing, but I focus on the gaps between them. I lean into lead guitar, blues progressions, fingerpicking, power chords, barre chords, and ear training to refine your sound.
My BFA from USC Thornton ensures a rigorous foundation for your technique. I check for understanding constantly through small interactions instead of waiting for a final test. I want the stuff that holds up when I am not in the room. Let us work on those stubborn habits that keep you from sounding like the records you love.

Strings vibrate against your fingertips like a high wire act. I manage the session flow by tracking your grasp of specific mechanics in real time.
We apply my USC Thornton training to break down complex Americana patterns into manageable chunks. Do not expect to hide behind loud volume here.
I fix the technical errors that keep you from achieving clarity. My method ensures that you walk away with skills that actually stick. You will leave with a clear plan for your next 6 days of practice. I ensure the music remains honest and tight.
