About Treva
Why do I teach? Is it possible that the most valuable lesson is realizing what you do not yet understand? I focus on asking questions before providing answers because depth beats coverage every time.
My teaching journey started as a hobby that eventually became my primary focus. I hold a BA Modern Music from the Los Angeles College of Music.
My work covers tuning and maintenance, chord transitions, fingerpicking, and songwriting. I help students read tabs and sheet music while exploring complex blues progressions.
I just enjoy the process. My 7.0 approach emphasizes specific technical clarity. I keep things honest and hands-on throughout our time together. You will find that I prioritize genuine musicality over flashy tricks.

Specific fretboard mechanics remain the most enjoyable part of my instruction. I have logged 9 years of teaching time to refine this craft.
Most students find that the hardest techniques become approachable when we break them down into smaller pieces. We utilize open tunings to change how you perceive the instrument.
I integrate maintenance checks to keep your gear in top shape. You can expect a deep exploration of Delta blues foundations during our time.
My instruction style stays grounded in traditional techniques. I watch your hands closely to ensure your technique serves the music. Progress happens when we stop rushing and start listening to the tone.
